It was a long search for me to find this horse. When I went out searching for an APHA Stallion prospect, I had the following criteria:

-Must have noteworthy bloodlines.

-Must have strong, elegant conformation.

-Must have a kind, trainable temperament.

-Must be five panel negative.

-Must have good feet.

-Must be homozygous for a pinto coat pattern.

I was unwilling to compromise on any of these points, and I sifted through what felt like a million colts before I found The Texas Dazzler. In addition to everything I listed above, I also got a colt of huge substance, a colt who is not only homozygous for tobiano, but also has a dun gene and an agouti gene, and a colt who is also one of the sweetest, most personable horses I have ever met. When I met his sire, I experienced the same admirable qualities. This leads me to believe it is a family trait.

His sire is PTHA World Champion producer Mr Bo Button. Mr Bo Button is a rare standing son of  ‘’The Cash Button’’, making The Texas Dazzler a grandson of the PTHA Supreme World Champion Producer. Both The Cash Button and Mr Bo Button are known for producing good natured, versatile horses with size, substance, and colour.

Paternally, The Texas Dazzler is also a grandson of ‘’Sonnys Tru Amigo’’, daughter of 2x APHA World Champion and Denver National APHA Livestock Show Grand Champion in Heading ‘’Sonnys Amigo Bar’’. Sonnys Amigo Bar also has a Reserve Grand Championship in Heeling from the Denver National APHA Livestock Show.

His maternal side also comes packed with World Champions and well tempered, useful horses. His dam is by PTHA World Champion and APHA points earner ‘’Extra Heir’’. His maternal granddam is 2x AQHA World Champion mare ‘’Ima Fancy Ms’’, who herself produced two APHA World Champions. Her sire, ‘’Ima Fancy Mr’’, had both his performance ROM through the AQHA, Halter ROM, and Halter Superior through the AQHA.

The Texas Dazzler is also a half-brother to PTHA World Champion Yearling Colt ‘’Mr Valentino’’.

His incredible neck set and dainty, attractive head really brings an elegance to his overall appearance. The Texas Dazzler is a rare horse for me conformationally, in that he is very compact and strong through his hind end, while still managing to have a long, animated stride and maintain overall balance through his body.

He brings together the best conformational traits of the old, stock type APHA and more modern, sport type APHA. I look forward to showing him in a wide variety of disciplines, and am currently training him for Western Dressage, Trail, and Hunter Under Saddle Classes. He will also be started over fences and shown in Hunter/Jumpers and Eventing as his age progresses to withstand the training. He shows great promise free jumping, with natural form and ease over the fences. Just point him, and he goes.

More pictures of The Texas Dazzler will be taken this summer and uploaded to this page, as will future show accomplishments.
